Five Speckled Frogs

This week is World Nursery Rhyme Week

We are supporting this amazing programme that promotes song and rhyme in young children

It is their belief that if a child aged four knows just eight rhymes by hears by the time they are eight they will be amongst the top readers and spellers in their class. We want to help all the children in our care become those future prolific readers and great spellers

Each day this week we will share the lyrics to their chosen song of the day which we will sing with the children and we hope you will sing it with them too

Todays song was:  Five little speckled frogs
Sat on a speckled log
Eating some most delicious grubs, yum, yumOne jumped into the pool
Where it was nice and cool
Now there are four more speckled frogs, glub, glub Four little speckled frogs
Sat on a speckled log
Eating some most delicious grubs, yum, yumOne jumped into the pool
Where it was nice and cool
Now there are three more speckled frogs, glub, glub Three little speckled frogs
Sat on a speckled log
Eating some most delicious grubs, yum, yumOne jumped into the pool
Where it was nice and cool
Now there are two more speckled frogs, glub, glub Two little speckled frogs
Sat on a speckled log
Eating some most delicious grubs, yum, yumOne jumped into the pool
Where it was nice and cool
Now there is one more speckled frog, glub, glub One little speckled frog
Sat on a speckled log
Eating some most delicious grubs, yum, yumOne jumped into the pool
Where it was nice and cool
Now there are no more speckled frogs, glub, glub
